Call for Highlights Track Submissions
The 15
th ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and
Health Informatics (ACM BCB) is a premier dissemination forum for interdisciplinary research linking computer science, mathematics, statistics, biology, bioinformatics, biomedical informatics, and health informatics. The past few decades have seen tremendous growth in the scale and complexity of biological and medical data including recent mainstream recognition of big data challenges. The 2024 ACM-BCB conference is dedicated to promoting AI for Bio-medicine (AI4Bio), including cutting-edge AI advances in computational biology, bioinformatics, and health informatics, at the intersection of computer science, artificial intelligence, statistics, biology, and medicine. ACM-BCB 2024 serves to showcase leading-edge research on new technologies and techniques around gathering, processing, analyzing, and modeling of data and information for a variety of scientific, clinical, and healthcare applications, from bench to bedside.
In addition to full papers for the proceedings, we are soliciting
abstracts for the Highlights Track, based on relevant papers published
after January 1, 2024, or papers that are in press at the time of submission
and are already available electronically through a journal web
site. Presentations will be selected based on the following criteria: impact
of the work on the field, likelihood that the presentation will be of general
interest for the audience, and relevance of the topic to computational biology
or biomedical research.
Authors of accepted abstracts for the Highlights Track are expected to register for the conference and present their work.
Submission Format
Interested authors should submit a single PDF document with the following information:
Cover page
Name, affiliation, and contact email of the presenting author.
Bibliographic information of the published paper, including a stable URL.
Original abstract of the published paper, for review purpose only.
1-page abstract for ACM-BCB
Prepare a 1-page abstract to be considered for highlights presentation at ACM-BCB. Please use the ACM Master Article Template on 8.5 x 11 inch paper. The abstract should cover the following:
Summary of the advances in the paper
Description of the broader implications of the methods and results presented in the paper, emphasizing their significance as well as their relevance to the BCB community
Optional
If the paper is not freely available from the publisher or PubMed, a PDF must be attached for review purposes.
Submission Procedure
Submissions are handled via OpenReview.
Note that all co-authors of the presented papers must agree to the submission. It is the responsibility of the submitter to enter all co-author email addresses during the submission process. Email notifications of the submission will be sent to all co-authors.
Accepted highlight submissions will be invited for either oral presentation or poster presentation in relevant technical sessions.
